Waterfront Local Improvement District (LID)

The Waterfront LID proposed final assessments have been communicated to downtown property owners. As a property owner, you should review the following links for information:

November resolution - passed by the outgoing Seattle City Council

Final assessment roll - shows how much you as a property owner will pay -- and you can also review other comparable properties to ensure that your assessment is fair

Once you have reviewed the information, including your property assessment, if you object to the assessment amount or process, follow these steps for your voice to be heard (note it’s important to include your parcel number, which was on your final assessment that you received in the mail and can also be looked up here):

1. Email: send your objection letter to LIDHearingExaminer@seattle.gov and optionally, CC andrew.lewis@seattle.govkamilah.brown@seattle.govParker.Dawson@seattle.govKatherine.Sims@seattle.govJacob.Thorpe@seattle.govteresa.mosqueda@seattle.gov, and lorena.gonzalez@seattle.gov

2. Mail: send your objection letter to  Seattle City Clerk, City of Seattle, P.O. Box 94607, Seattle, WA  98124‐6907

3. In person: Attend the February 4th hearing for the Assessment roll at 8 AM Tuesday February 4th.  This will be held at City Hall, which is 600 4th Avenue.
